Vlora Albania
Location:
The cruise terminal in Vlora is situated in the city’s port area, known as the Port of Vlora. This is a relatively new development as the city grows in popularity as a cruise destination.
This port is relative unknown to larger cruise ships.
The port is quite close to the downtown area of Vlora. It’s roughly 1-2 kilometers (about 0.6-1.2 miles) from the port to the city center. This means it’s generally an easy walk or a short taxi ride to reach the heart of the city.
The Vlora Promenade (Lungomare) is a pleasant place to walk, with views of the Adriatic Sea and plenty of cafes and restaurants.
Visit the Beaches:
Plazhi i Vjetër (Old Beach): A popular spot for sunbathing and swimming, located close to the city center.
Plazhi i Ri (New Beach): A bit further out, offering beautiful views and a lively atmosphere.
Independence Square (Sheshi i Pavarësisë): This is where Albania declared its independence in 1912. You can see the Independence Monument and the nearby National Museum of Independence.
