Monthly Climate Averages for Kalymnos Greece
Tucked away in the sunniest corner of Greece and off the beaten path, Kalymnos is known as the home of the sponge fishermen. Walk past the grand mansions built from the proceeds of sponge trade, and don’t miss the Hellenistic bronze statue known as the “Lady of Kalymnos” at the archaeological museum, another treasure fetched from the sea in a fisherman’s net.
A short 10-minute walk will take you to the Kaiki where you will board the boat and depart from Myrties jetty to sail to idyllic spots and small hidden bays. Also you can take a fishing expedition from here.
It pays to compare your cruise line shore excursions here.
Finish the day with a stop at the local market for a spongy souvenir and a taste of wild thyme honey.
